All Around!
Do you see God all around? Do you feel Him and His presence everywhere you go?
Spring break 2012...what an adventure! My roommate Kim and I flew to South Africa and had a fantastic time!! Of course there were a few "ahhhh" (the scared kind) moments and even a couple of Harris wild-goose chases. Thank goodness for GPS. Ok, I know what in the world is with your title right? Well, this year, God has really blessed me. I feel like an acorn He planted and now and young sapling is coming out. When we saw Table Mountain or Lionshead, the beautiful ocean, the slimy kelp, I saw God. The beauty of his creation cries out His Name. I love nature, rocks, especially with water going over them. On this trip, I said I love God. We climbed Table Mountain, toured the city, saw penguins and seals, AND went cage diving with Great White Sharks!!!! It was AMAZING!!!! I have never done something so incredible in my life nor doubt much will compare. The majestic power of these creatures is astounding, and as I watched them, the thought in my head besides "oh my goodness am I really doing this?!" was WOW God! You loved creating on the 5th day. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy your creation. My favorite part of the trip was on Friday. It was hot, and we went to the beach. Kim sat on one of the huge rocks and read. I did too for a little while. Then, I went exploring. I found mussels and "sea doughnuts"; shells, sea anemone in bright colors and an assortment of little creatures. In all these different things, I felt as though I was seeing God, His handiwork, his grace and love. It was an incredible trip!! I hope my words expressed it properly.
Some prayer requests:
1. good end to the school year
2. saying good-bye
3. Senior and others who leave that they will use what they have learned
4. school building project
Thanks for all your prayers and support.
Many blessings.

Prayer Request
Please pray for our school, staff/faculty. We are under severe spiritual attack right now. I don't know why it is rising right now. However, a lot is/is about to happen. Please pray for us. Thanks and God bless.

One of my favorite hymns
Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heavenly, Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still, my soul; thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.
Powerful words and a great comfort to dwell on. May God bless your week!

Rest....the Lord is near.
..."For now we see in a mirror darkly, but then we shall see face to face". I know this doesn't make sense as a beginning statement, but I promise to explain. We have a 4 day weekend thanks to Ghana being independent. What better thing to do than to go to the beach?! So, a group of teachers went. It was so much fun. I did my quiet time out on the rocks yesterday morning where I saw this (above photo).
I saw it happen several times and was captivated every single time. As I continued to read, sing and watch, I thought how spectacular my God is. The Atlantic Ocean is powerful much more so than the Gulf of Mexico or the East Atlantic coast in America. God is powerful....yes an understatement. Yet, in all his power and greatness, He cares about me. He gives me these opportunities to see his power and reminds me through it that He is a God of detail and care. He desires an intimate relationship with me.
I am also seeing this through my reading of the One Year Bible. We are in Numbers right now. Most people steer clear of the first five books-the law books, but I love them. I think I have an idea of what David felt when he said "Oh how I love your law. I meditate on it day and night." I love the law! I love the detail, time and care God put into his people. What love! This is but a glimpse. "...then I shall see face to face." What will it be like to meet God who puts details, time and care into me?! Is it not exciting to think about?!! WOW!!

Party Time Again!
One of the most fun things about kindergarten is the ability and expectation that you have lots of parties. Lately, we have been "Party Central Africa". Haha. We celebrated the 100th day of school on Friday. It was lots of fun. We counted a lot of different things: noodles, cereal, diamonds, pieces of paper, skittles and more. In the afternoon, we had a party. There was soo much food. Everyone had plenty and even more than enough. So, I will post the picture of my class in our 100 masks. I had 3 students absent so there are only 20. Thanks for your prayers and support.

What's it worth?
What would you do for a smile? I have a new student from Japan. Last week was rough for both of us. By Wednesday, I had my first smile from her. It was uplifting considering that Monday she cried for about 3 hours. I didn't do anything to get a smile from her; however, she let me see it. Anyway, on Thursday, I allowed myself to the the "rope" in a game of tug-of-war between two groups of students. It was painful as you might imagine, but it brought the smile and laughter I so desired. It was a brilliant moment. Ok, enough rambling. It was a good Friday, and this was one of the best Mondays I have ever had, thanks be to God. We are making improvements, and, God willing, seeds are being sown for Jesus Christ. Thank you for your prayers!

Off again...for the last time
Here I am in Atlanta once again with bags packed ready to go back to my home of Ghana. Although many things are different this time around, my biggest success was in packing!! FINALLY, after all these times, one back is 50.2 lbs and the other is 44.6 lbs. I can't explain how great this was for me to achieve. This will be my last semester; I am planning to return to Alabama in June. I am looking forward to getting back into a routine and teaching and finishing this year as successfully as God allows. I miss my students and am ready to see their smiling faces as they return to school on Wednesday. Please pray for me as I am"...forgetting what is behind me, I press on towards the goal...running the race with endurance".
